Pashmina History
Pashmina or cashmere is reckoned across the globe as the softest and most luxurious wool. This wool is procured from a special Himalayan goat (capra hircus) that lives at the altitude of 12000 to 14000 ft where temperature is very low. It is blessed by nature with a unique thin inner coat of hair which acts as the best insulation and this is known as pashmina.

About Pashmina Fibre This pashmina fibre is less than 15 microns thickness and a single goat produces 3-8 ounces of pashmina every year. In the ancient civilization, pashmina shawls were worn by elite classes of the society that included emperors, kings, princess, rulers and nobles and therefore these were also known as fiber for kings.
These luxurious pashmina shawls are hand woven by traditional weaver who is engaged in this occupation since ages and they inherit this art from their ancestors. | |
